O que me traz alegria?

Um pequeno exercÃcio com alguma â€œpiadaâ€. Escrever durante um minuto ou dois sem levantar a esferogrÃ¡fica e sem â€œpensarâ€. No meu caso, o que ocorreu foi o seguinte.

Acabei de ler Distance Haze de Jamil Nasir. É um interessante e triste livro de ficção científica em que o protagonista é convidado para a fazer uma reportagem sobre um Instituto para o Estudo Tecnológico da Religião - a vida do protoganista (que já não corria bem) vai de mal a pior. O livro levanta algumas questões interessantes sobre a morte e as religiões.

Estou a ler o livro “Jack, o Estripador – Retrato de um Assassino” de Patricia Cornewell. A autora sustenta, convincentemente, que o Jack foi Walter Sickert, um famoso pintor inglês de origem germânica. Para além disso, o livro é escrito de uma forma clara e interessante, pelo menos até à parte que já li.

Doors em Lisboa

Vi um dos concertos dos Doors em Lisboa. O concerto foi bom graças à escolha do antigo vocalista dos Cult.
O novo vocalista dos Doors suporta bem o fantasma do Jim Morrison: respeita o espírito do grupo mas é ele próprio. A relação do novo vocalista com o publico é algo difícil. O público reage melhor ao Ray Manzarek do que ao Iam. No final do concerto o relacionamento tinha melhorado.
